Cleopatra’s new lite…

So I know its been a super long time since I have written a new post, and ya’ll I am so sorry.  You have to forgive me, I have been pretty busy. The life of Suzy Doozer has been a little hectic.  While I was on hiatus from school is when I really tried to amp up my work outs, and then school started again.  I was having some issues with time management, and it feels like I am always forgetting something!  Enough complaining out of me-I do have a pretty great life. I may find myself over extended at times, and I’m not a HUGE fan of the whole, going to work thing, but I digress.

The first thing that I wanted to share with you is a Yelp event that I was able to attend and it was FABULOUS! The local Museum of Science  and History was debuting a new exhibit of Roman, Greek and Egyptian items, and a huge Yelp event was organized by our amazing Community Manager to have tons of food, drinks, and live music all while being able to get a sneak peek at the exhibit.  Normally I would be really excited for an event this size and with this much on the list of things to try, this time…there was costumes involved so I was ecstatic! I was so over the moon to get to look for a fun new costume, and just knew it would be outstanding.

One of my Yelp besties and I had coordinated to meet up and go in together, so I found a parking spot (even telling the parking attendant that I wasn’t Cleopatra every day) and found her waaaaay in the front of the line.  So line skipping isn’t something I normally do, but no one seemed to mind that much.  She and her husband were also dressed in costumes, and we took a minute to take some pics and catch up.  Soon the doors were opening and we were checking in to the Yelp Elite Happy Hour that was one hour prior to the rest of the event opening up. We actually started coming up with a strategy to maximize our time and experience, and went to the roof top first.  For the next few hours we ate, and drank and ate and drank and were treated like royalty.  It was a great time even though my friend had to leave earlier than she wanted, I met up with a ton of other Yelp friends of mine, and even went on a scary staircase adventure while leaving!!

Not long after, or maybe right around the same time as my fabulous travels through time, I had to finally take care of something that was terribly wrong with the poor Doozer Mobile…a cracked windshield! I have no idea what happened, it was like that when I came out of my apartment and I was under a car port.  The Handy Fellow thinks something must have hit me and I didn’t realize it and then the crack got worse later.  Well through talking to my insurance company, and some friends, I found out it is FREE in Florida to get your windshield replaced-how cool! So after a quick phone call, I was set up for Safelite to come out.

The day of my appointment, I got a phone call from the guy that was coming out, he said what time to expect him ,and I went to school.  He called me again later and said that he was a little early, and did I mind him coming anyway, I was home and did not mind, so I gave him some directions and he was there in just a few minutes.  Evan and Sean from Safelite were soooo sooo nice, professional, and hilarious.  They explained every step of the process to me, and didn’t even mind that I was curious and wanted to watch while they worked.  This whole thing seriously took like one hour, they have all their gear on the van with them,  and they chatted with me like we were friends! They clean all the windows, they vacuum out your car, and they make sure you are one hundred percent happy with the results, and I sure was!  While we were talking , Evan actually shared with me that the individual panes of glass that used to make up a windshield are called lites, and that is where the company came up with the name. I love to learn new tidbits of knowledge like this!!!
